+ANGEL N. LAGDAMEO, D.D.
Archbishop of Jaro
August 11, 2017
It is always our joy and honour in the Archdiocese of Jaro not just to receive visitors but also to host many events. Iloilo, in which our Archdiocese lies, has been a place for various national events. This year we have the culmination of National Laity Week on September and the Apostolic Congress on Mercy on December among others. it is indeed a moment of grace for us that the archdiocese of Jaro has been chosen for the celebration of the National Meeting of the Diocesan Directors in Liturgy. It is so because liturgy has a special place in the hearts of ilongos since many have come to learn, to love and to appreciate the liturgy which our Archdiocesan Commission on Liturgy has ever since invested with enthusiasm by conducting various liturgical formations in different parishes.
May our efforts as Directors in Liturgy make our people come to understand and appreciate even more their Catholic Faith in “the experience of the Church and the Church manifestation herself in the Parish Liturgical celebrations.”
Invoking the intercession of the Our Lady of Candles, I bless you.
